Terms and Conditions

 'Terms and Conditions'

 

1. Contract. The contract for a short-term holiday rental shall be made between the Client and either Corner Cottage/ Ringmore Cottage & Southern Cross Cottage.  The contract will be entered into when either cottages issues the confirmation letter or invoice and will be subject to all the following booking conditions:

 

2. Payment. A deposit of 50% of the rental fee is payable if the booking is made more than 5 weeks before the start of the rental.  The balance is payable 4 weeks before the commencement of the rental.  Non-payment of the balance of the rent on or before the due date shall be constructed as a cancellation of the contract by the client.  For bookings made less than 6 weeks before the commencement of the rental, the total rental fee is payable immediately - upon booking confirmation.

 

3. Cancellation. Any cancellations made by the client for whatever reason shall be in writing and addressed to :Kelly Herbert: 9 Longville Close, Abbeymead, Gloucester GL4 5SG.  On receipt of notice of cancellation regarding either cottages - Corner Cottage - Ringmore Cottage or Southern Cross Cottage), we will then in turn look for alternative letting.  If either Corner Cottage and Ringmore Cottage succeeds in re-letting the property for part of the period booked it shall refund an amount equal to the money paid less (1) the rental for the period which is not re-let and (2) an administrative charge of £20.00.  If the cottages is unable to re-let the property at all then all monies paid by the client shall be forfeit to either Corner Cottage/ Ringmore Cottage or Southern Cross Cottage. (We strongly recommend that clients do take out a Cancellation Insurance of some description).

 

4. Period of Notice. Rentals commence, unless otherwise notified at 3pm on the day of arrival and terminate at 10am on the day of departure.

 

5. Number of Persons Using the Property. The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed the number stipulated in the letter of confirmation.  Corner Cottage and Ringmore Cottage reserves the right to refuse entry to the entire party if this condition is not reserved.

 

6. Complaints. Should there be any cause for complaint during the occupation or indeed from booking confirmation, this must be notifed to both Miss K M Herbert @ the above address.  This can done either by in writing or telephone using the numbers given upon booking.

 

7. Breakages or Damages. The client is legally bound to reimburse Corner Cottage/ Ringmore Cottage or Southern Cross Cottage for any replacement, repair or extra cleaning costs on demand.

 

8. Care of Property. The client shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property and its entire furniture, pictures, fittings and effects in or on the property.  Also please read Welcome Pack for further details of care and duty of both properties.  All of these are to be left in the same state of repair and condition and in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental to as you found at the beginning.

 

9. Pets. Corner Cottage/ Ringmore Cottage and Southern Cross Cottage do have a policy of accepting pets.  An extra charge of £25.00 will be requested upon booking.  (Please note this is just one charge, not charge per pet).

 

10. Liability. Corner Cottage/ Ringmore Cottage & Southern Cross Cottage, owners and employees shall not be under any liability to the clients or third parties for any loss or damage arising from breach of contract, negligence, misrepresentation or otherwise.  If the property which the client has booked becomes unavailable or unuseable for some reason prior to the date of booking, then Corner Cottage/ Ringmore Cottages & Southern Cross Cottage obligations will be is to reimburse the client for any monies paid.

 

11. Warranties. Corner Cottage/ Ringmore Cottage & Southern Cross Cottage does not warrant and is not responsible for the accuracy for any verbal information given or statments made by its servants or employees.

 

12. Right of Entry. Corner Cottage/ Ringmore Cottage & Southern Cross Cottage shall be allowed the right of entry to the property for any verbal information times for purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.

 

13. Cancellation Insurance. Cancellation Insurance is not compulsory but Corner Cottage/ Ringmore Cottage & Southern Cross Cottage does strongly recommend such insurance cover to protect against the cancellation policy.

 

14. Smoking. Smoking is not permited in either Corner Cottage/ Ringmore Cottage & Southern Cross Cottage at any one time.

 

15. Cottage Security Desposit. Corner Cottage will hold a bond of £100.00 which is required upon booking.  Ringmore Cottage will hold a bond of £50.00 and Southern Cross Cottage will hold a bond of £100.00, which will go towards any such breakages or damages.  The client is required to notify Corner Cottage or Ringmore Cottage in the event of any breakages or damages caused to the property or contents during their stay.  Corner Cottage/ Ringmore Cottage & Southern Cross Cottage reserve the right to demand FULL payment for such breakages or damages.  Provided that there are no breakages or damages, Corner Cottage/ Ringmore Cottage & Southern Cross Cottage will refund any security deposit no later than 14 days after the end of your stay.
